Still mad about pixlr-o-matic

I have been playing with the online photo editing programs lately, although I love to play with most of them, Pixl-o-matic is still my favorite. Here are some cold snowy winter shots I took this week, I took the photos with my macro lens, softened the focus a little bit by using Focal Soften Effect in Picnik and teen I used the Salomon filter and the Grunge frame Pixlr-o-matic.

Mad about Pixlr-o-matic

I must admit that I am a bit mad about pixlr-o-matic, you can add some beautiful colorful textures to your photos, soften the focus and add frames if you like, I played a bit with these two self portraits below and added a text in Photoshop ;-)...

Pixlr-o-matic

I love photographing flowers with my macro lens, my little auntie was interested in my photography when we spent some time together last summer so we took a photo-walk together photographing her hands holding flowers with my macro lens ;-)... I wanted to add a bit of magic to the photos so I played a bit with them in Pixlr-o-matic which is a online program with Instagram and Hipstamatic filter effects. It has some cool retro filters, textures and frames.

Toycamera Analogcolor

I have been interested everything vintage for a long time and that includes vintage style photography. I have been trying to imitate vintage style photography in Photoshop for a long time by using vintage lomo toycamera style textures that can be found on pages like Flickr. I recently discovered Toycamera Analogcolor that is a wonderful program that you can download to your PC or Mac Analogcolor and play with your photos to create polaroid or toycamera style phots ;-)...

Feng Shui Stones and Buddah quotes

I have been interested in Asian culture for a long time, I love yoga, I like to listen to Asian yoga or meditation music when I want to relax. I would like to know more than I do about Buddhism. With these picture I wanted to capture my love to nature and give it a bit of an Asian or Feng Shui feeling ;-)...
I used textures from the talented Kim Klassen for these images

Macro flower with washi tape

I wanted to give this image a bit of a vintage effect so I started by adding 1960´s effect in Picnik, then I added my own frame and and a scanned washi tape ;-)...

Pink flower and pink washi tape

I have been playing a lot with my macro lens this summer, most of the time I have been shooting flowers so I have a lot of lovely flower pictures to play with this coming winter. I started to play with this one in Picnik, where I added lomo-ish effect. I have been making some vintage style frames in Photoshop so I added my own frame to the photo. I love washi tape and I finished by adding a scanned washi tape :-)....

Cooling Icecream on a sunny day

What is better than ice cream on a beautiful sunny day. I thought this photo looked good from the camera so I just added this negative film frame from Photoradar to it in Photoshop ;-)...

On a sunny day

I decided to try out some new techniques in Picnik with this photo. I started by adding a bit of orton-ish effect and then I added the 1960´s effect, I must say that I am quite happy with the vintage or retro look of the photo :)...

Heart with a quote

I bought this heart some time ago, I thought it would be ideal to photograph ;-)... This is a photo I took with my macro lens, I added a text to it in Photoshop, then I opened it in Picnik to add some lomo-ish effect and finally I added a Polaroid frame to it in Photoshop.

Lomo flower photo

I really love to play with my photos and give them a bit of a retro or vintage look. Besides polaroids me favorite style at the moment is lomo. Of course it would be nice to have a original vintage, lomo, polaroid or toy camera but as I don´t have any of those right now I play with my photos digitally in stead. I added lomo-ish effect in the free online program Picnik.

On a beautiful rainy day

I haven´t been photographing much on rainy days. As I love flower photography and after a few rainy days waiting for the sun to photograph I thought I should give it a try to take some photos on a rainy day....and I was so surprised how the photos came out beautifully... the colors where so bright and magical and the bees where having a good time ;-)... I thought this photo looked good as it came from the camera so I didn´t play around with it this time.

Macro flower photography

I must admit that my latest passion is macro photography, especially flower macro photography...it so nice to see all the small beautiful details of the flowers through the macro lens. The Latin name of this flower is Aster puniceus. It was such a beautiful shot so I didn´t want to play to much around with it... I just added a frame and a little bit of texture to it in Photoshop.

My toes, self-portrait

I have been a fan of Photoshop for quite some years now. It was really Photoshop that got mew interested in photography... and I have been playing around for a few years now with photo taking and trying all kinds of different play tools with them in Photoshop. Recently I discovered the free online program Picnik. To this photo I added lomo-ish effect in Picnik then I added a frame to it in Photoshop and I must say I am quite happy with the result myself :).
